Pakistan beat Kenya by 205 runs, Afridi sets new world cup record
Pakistan beat kenya by 205 runs in the 6th match of the ICC World Cup 2011 on Wednesday played at Hambantota, Sri Lanka. Skipper Shahid Afridi took 5 wickets for 16 runs in the match, setting new best bowling record by a Pakistani bowler in the world cup.Previously, left arm fast bowler Wasim Akram claimed five wickets for 28 runs against Namibia, in 2003 world cup.
Pakistan posted a massive total of 317/7 against minnows in theeir opening match of the tournament. Four Pakistani batsmen made fifty, equalling the previous record of half-centuries in the world cup.
Kenyan team was never been in the game as their wickets kept falling, they were all out for 112 runs in 33.1 overs.
Pakistan won the match by 205 runs.
Pakistan will play next match on Saturday, Feb 26, against Sri Lanka.
